Our eyewear commitment to you
For your convenience, our practice offers a complete optical department. Whether your eye care needs include a general eye exam, contact lens exam & fitting or a new pair of glasses, our optical department has a wide selection of high quality eye glass frames to choose from. We have a large inventory of anti-reflective and anti-scratch lenses in various power ranges.
Our friendly and helpful staff is always there to help you with your glasses, no matter how long ago you purchased them from us. We are always happy to help adjust your frames, clean your lenses, and replace your worn out nosepieces in a fast and friendly manner.
We offer the newest in lens technology. Progressive lenses are now digitally enchanced to produce a wavefront performance of vision, much like how Laser eye surgery enhances vision. We offer transitions (turn light to dark), anti-reflective lenses by Crizal that help with glare in night time driving and computer screens and thin lens materials to help with strong/thicker prescriptions. Lastly, we recommend polarized sunglasses and UV protection.
Crizal® Anti-Reflective Lenses
These lenses virtually eliminate glare and are great for night time driving by eliminating headlight glare.
Varilux® Progressive Lenses
No line multi-focal lenses that are the nearest to natural vision. They can create a sense of constant clarity at all viewing distances. They are ideal for all first time multi-focal lens wearers.
Transition® Lenses
These lenses automatically darken in sunlight and lighten indoors, allowing the wearer the convenience of one pair of glasses for indoors and out.
Xperio® Polarized Lenses
These lenses eliminate all indirect reflection such as from water or snow, allowing greater depth perception and visual acuity. Excellent for many sports including boating and skiing. DriveWear® – the first changeable polarized outdoor lens. It darkens outside as well as behind the windshield. Thsi lens reacts to all different outdoor weather and light conditions.
High Index (Thin Lenses)
These are considerably thinner and lighter lenses. They weigh much less and are much more comfortable to wear.
U.V. Filter
This is highly recommended for its ability to protect the retina from the harmful effects of ultraviolet light, and for that reason is also required for all post-operative cataract patients.
Polycarbonate Lenses
These are the most impact resistant lenses. They too are made of a thinner, lighter material. The use is mandated for children under the age of 14 because of the superior safety features.
Bifocal Lenses
In the past, this has been the most common style multi-focal lens. It allows the patient to see in the distance and close up with the same pair of glasses.
Computer Lenses
If you’re viewing a computer video display terminal (VDT) you may need variable focus lenses. These help correct vision for the computer screen and the immediate vicinity.
Contact Lenses
For your optimal vision, we offer a wide range of contact lens options designed for most corrections. Regardless of your age or vision correction, there’s a corrective lens that is right for you. We address the needs of our broad range of patients through a complete and thorough contact lens exam. Included in that exam are contact lens trials and return check ups to ensure you are receiving the best in vision, health and comfort. We also offer insertion and removal classes to instruct each patient on how to use and care for their lenses. Once a contact lens prescription is determined, our contact lens technician will assist you in placing your orders in a timely fashion. Below are just a few examples of the lenses we offer:
- Focus Dailies (1 days)
- Oasys (2 week)
- Night & Day (Monthly)
- Purevision Multifocals (Monthly)
- Variety of astigmatic lenses
- Rigid Gas Permeables
