Dr. Mamta Kanwar is a ophthalmologist and fellowship-trained glaucoma specialist. Dr. Kanwar provides comprehensive eye care with a focus on the medical and surgical treatment of glaucoma.
Dr. Kanwar earned a medical degree from Wayne State University School of Medicine and completed an ophthalmology residency at the Kresge Eye Institute in Detroit. Fellowship training in glaucoma was completed at the Doheny Eye Institute at UCLA, following a preliminary year in internal medicine at Sinai Grace Hospital.
In addition to clinical work, Dr. Kanwar has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications and has presented at national ophthalmology conferences. Dr. Kanwar is also involved in medical education and community outreach, offering glaucoma screenings and eye health education through local organizations.
Dr. Kanwar is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology, and the American Medical Association.
